Lunch Meeting!
Our Monthly meeting will be a lunch meeting. It will be at Big Sandy Superstore Arena Conferece Center on May 10 at noon. Our guest speaker will be Bill Smith, Superintendent of Cabell County Schools. Lunch will be $12 for a pasta buffet. Please RSVP to Carly Knotts by May 4.
YPC Golf
The first outing is scheduled for May 8th at Riviera. We will have tee times available from 5:30-5:45. Please email Benjamin Sandy if you're interested or would like additional details.
For those interested, we're going to add some intrigue and excitement to the golf league this year by introducing a points system that will conclude by determining a 'league champion'. Before I detail the points system however, I want to emphasize that participation in the points system is completely optional. The league's primary purpose is still to be a noncommittal networking golf league for young professionals.
With that said, here's how golfers can earn points:
· Attendance earns 1 point (must RSVP)
· The 3rd person to RSVP by email each week earns 1 point
· Each group's golfer with the lowest score earns 1 point
· Each group's golfer with the lowest total putts earns 1 point
· Each guest you bring is worth 1 point (recurring guests = no points)
· Points can be wagered at our last outing (add'l details to come later)
There is no cap to how many points can be earned per week. The winner will be determined by whoever has the most points at the end of the season. The YPC has agreed to purchase a free round of golf for the winner.
To participate in the competition, please let me know when you RSVP for our first outing on Tuesday, May 8th at Riviera.
